Taylor Macy is a JD (Juris Doctorate) candidate at the James E. Rogers College of Law. She is interested in collaborative lawyering and environmental justice. With her degree, she hopes to partner with communities so that they have more control over local and state policies, especially in the realm of sustainable and ethical community planning. Her research examines policies used to reduce the prison population during the COVID-19 pandemic and proposes the application of those policies in regions with a high risk of climate disasters. She obtained a B.S. in Plant Biology and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Ohio University.
