SoRi La
SoRi La, born in South Korea but raised in South Africa from childhood, completed her BSc in Genetics and Biochemistry at the University of Pretoria. She completed her MSc in Palaeosciences at the University of Witwatersrand, where she learned about the significance of cooperation in the hierarchy of life and explored death as one of its crucial mechanisms. Now a Ph.D. student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, she is further investigating additional mechanisms that promoted cooperation, specifically during the evolution of multicellularity. Furthermore, her upbringing in South Africa instilled a profound appreciation for inclusivity and cultural relevance within the scientific community.
