Molly Gans

Molly Gans is a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She received a B.A. from Amherst College in Mathematics and Biology with honors for her senior thesis on the influence of secondary pathogens on the transmission of an endemic pathogen. Her dissertation focuses on the coevolution of pollinators, plants, and pathogens in natural systems. After finishing her Ph.D., she hopes to continue in academia and eventually teach at a primarily undergraduate institution. Outside of science, Molly enjoys playing soccer and ultimate frisbee, getting out in the wilderness, and cooking elaborate meals for her friends and family.
