Emma Reed
Emma Reed is a PhD student in the department of Geosciences and a National Science Foundation graduate research fellow. Her research uses corals from across the tropical Pacific, from the Galapagos to the Marshall Islands, to reconstruct past climate variability and change. She is also developing methods to improve coral geochemical climate reconstructions. Emma completed her Master’s degree in Geosciences at the University of Arizona in 2016, researching the paleoclimate and paleoecology of the northern Great Barrier Reef, and completed her bachelor’s degree in earth science and English at Cornell University.
