Eden Kinkaid is a PhD candidate in Geography at the University of Arizona. They are a member of the UA Food System Lab, a collaborative research team that researches issues affecting agriculture and food systems in southern Arizona. Eden’s dissertation research focuses on how various actors leverage food culture and food heritage as a strategy of urban development in Tucson, Arizona. In addition to their work on agriculture and food systems, Eden also pursues research and scholarship around themes of creative research methodologies, queer and trans geographies, geographic theory, and geography curriculum.
