Bhowmik Sujey Soori
Bhowmik Sujey Soori is a PhD student in the Department of Economics at the Eller College of Management. His research lies at the intersection of environmental economics and Political Economy. Before coming to the University of Arizona, Sujey received his master’s degree in economics from Baylor University and bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has published work on water treatment and drinking water quality in low- and middle-income countries. His current work focuses on studying how political incentives of governors affect federal disaster mitigation funding and how lobbying by electric utilities affects rates paid by customers.
